Creamy Berry Smoothie (vegan)

Creamy Berry Smoothie (vegan)

Good news, lockdown in Melbourne is being lifted tomorrow... except for the gyms. It's a bit disappointing gyms are still going to be closed even though there's no logical reason for it, so I guess I'm stuck with my 4kg dumbbells and bodyweight exercises for another week. Speaking of exercise, one thing I do after every workout is make myself a smoothie. No better way to replenish after a heavy (or not so heavy, with the 4kg dumbbells) session.

I probably have a smoothie every single day, and have done so for the past few years. As dramatic as this sounds, can't imagine life without them! There's just something so comforting about being able to throw a bunch of things in the blender and coming up with something delicious. And healthy!

This berry smoothie is a favourite of mine, it just tastes so good. It's like dessert but none of the bad stuff and a lot of the health benefits. Healthy fats from cashews, antioxidants from berries and oxytocin boost from dates. It's the simplest recipe yet a nutritional powerhouse. I like to add a bit of vegan protein powder in as well for an extra boost of protein, but that's completely optional. Enjoy!
